House Fire

Around 6:45 this morning, Five Points, along with neighboring companies were alerted to a residential structure fire in the 600 block of N DuPont Rd in Richardson Park. Engine 17 arrived minutes later with fire showing from a house in the 500 block. Crews began to attack the fire with multiple hand lines as truck companies worked to search and ventilate the structure. No injuries were reported and crews were onscene for about three and a half hours. The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause.
Five Points was assisted by Minquas Fire Company, Elsmere Fire Company, Wilmington Fire, Cranston Heights Fire Company, Mill Creek Fire Company, Wilmington Manor Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics.
